San Juan County Fire and Rescue has been nationally recognized for its Septic Safe San Juan program, which aims to prevent child drownings in septic tanks. Four local high school softball players have been honored by the New Mexico High School Coaches Association for their outstanding performance. Aztec's summer schedule is bustling, featuring the Equus Film and Arts Fest from July 26th to 28th, highlighting the bond between humans and horses through various films and events.
