Fireworks banned at McGee Park

San Juan County has banned fireworks at McGee Park because the traditional Fourth of July celebrations have become too dangerous to insure. Independence Day revelers will have to make alternative plans or enjoy municipal fireworks shows in Farmington or Bloomfield. Also: San Juan Regional Medical Center honors its nurses, and the City of Farmington is hosting a community yard sale. By Ryan Simonovich.
